本波天珠/本珠(Bonpo-dZi/BondZi) 500BC – 300BC
本波天珠或稱本珠，據說是西藏本波教時代的天珠，約有2,500-2,300年歷史(請參閱本書卷5(1) 〈本珠〉)。臺灣業者稱為壽珠，據說是因為圖騰象龜殼故名。傳世的小型本珠的本珠頗多，35mm以上的較稀少。

Bonpo-dZi/Bon-dZi 500BC – 300BC
It is said that Bonpo-dZi or Bon-dZi is the dZi during the Tibetan Bonpo period, it has around 2,500 - 2,300 years of history (please refer to Series 5 (1) - Bon-dZi). The Taiwanese called it Longevity bead, it is said that because the totem looked like tortoise thus giving it this name. There are quite a lot of inherited small size bon-dZi, but over 35 mm size is relatively rare.

本珠或本波天珠乃藏文Bondzi的音譯，台灣譯作崩系，此類天珠有說是在印度製成後運入西藏，也有人因其圖案像似龜殼紋理稱為壽珠，說是代表長壽云云。如按照藏民的說法，此乃西藏苯教時期，法師祈福時，感詔上天，降下之吉祥物，故稱Bondzi本珠。

It’s said that Bon dZi (or Phum dZi) were originally made in India before passing into Tibet. Because of their turtle-shell pattern, they are seen to be representing longevity and hence the name Longevity dZi. According to Tibetan folklores, Bonpo ritual masters beseeched to the sky realm with earnest supplication during ancient Bonism in Tibet, Bon dZi were the celestial blessing sent down from the above.
